Hiroki Takeuchi is a British‑Japanese entrepreneur and the co‑founder and CEO of GoCardless, a UK‑based fintech company he launched in 2011 with Tom Blomfield and Matt Robinson while they were at the University of Oxford. GoCardless focuses on simplifying recurring payments, direct debit processing, and open banking payment services. Under his leadership, the company expanded internationally with offices in major cities including London, Paris, New York, San Francisco, Munich and Melbourne, serving tens of thousands of businesses around the world.

 

Takeuchi began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company before entering Y Combinator and building GoCardless into a global player in payments technology.
