Biography Details

Aditya Prateek Singh, professionally known as Badshah, is one of India's most influential music artists, known for his complex lyricism and high-energy songs.  Born on November 19, 1985, in New Delhi, he initially pursued civil engineering before discovering his passion for rap music during college. He started his career with Yo Yo Honey Singh's group Mafia Mundeer but parted ways in 2012 due to credit-related disputes.

His breakthrough came when "Saturday Saturday" was featured in the 2014 movie Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.  Since then, he has delivered numerous chart-topping hits including "DJ Waley Babu," "Kar Gayi Chull," "Garmi," and "Naina." Beyond music, Badshah has ventured into entrepreneurship with Badboy Pizza and Shelter 6, and has collaborated with international artists. He has also served as a judge on popular shows like MTV Hustle, Indian Idol, and India's Got Talent, cementing his position as a cultural icon in Indian entertainment.

Badshah announced he will headline The O2 Arena in London on March 22, 2026, becoming the first Indian rapper to perform a full-scale solo show at this iconic venue.  The concert is part of his upcoming world tour and is expected to attract over 15,000 fans for a nearly three-hour performance featuring his greatest hits and new releases.

The show features high-tech stage setup, interactive visuals, a live band, and world-class technology, produced by TCO Group in partnership with TM Ventures and Rock On Music.  This historic moment follows his 2024 surprise appearance at the same venue during Diljit Dosanjh's tour, where he promised fans he would one day headline the arena himself.

In late 2025, Maybach Icons of Luxury announced a limited-edition eyewear collaboration with Badshah, making him the brand's first South Asian creative partner.  The collection includes five optical and sunglass models, with prices starting at $2,850, and a special diamond-encrusted version limited to five units.

Badshah recently released music collaborations including "Wallah Wallah" with Afrobeats artist Davido and is scoring the title track for Ali El Arabi's film "52 Blue."
