He rose to fame winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (2007) and dominated comedy shows like Comedy Circus. His breakthrough came with Comedy Nights with Kapil (2013–2016), followed by The Kapil Sharma Show (2016–present) on Sony TV, and The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.
