Satish Shah (born June 25, 1951, in Mumbai) is a veteran Indian actor best known for his long-running role as Indravadan Thakkar (Jethalal's father-in-law) in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (2008–present). Trained at the National School of Drama (NSD), he began with theatre and appeared in parallel cinema classics like Sparsh (1980), Ardh Satya (1983), and Mirch Masala (1987).

 

He gained popularity on TV with Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984), Nukkad (1986), Malgudi Days (1986), and Hum Paanch (1995–2006). His comic timing and expressive face made him perfect for sitcoms. Married with children and grandchildren, he maintains a low-profile personal life.
